Absolutely. You can still work with KLFC even if you have previously disputed accounts on your own. KLFC will review your current credit reports and available information to determine what may be appropriate for review and develop a strategy based on your individual credit profile. Previous disputes do not automatically prevent you from becoming a KLFC client.
To begin services, clients should be prepared to provide a valid government-issued identification card, proof of current address, and Social Security verification. Additional documentation may be requested when needed to support a specific dispute or review.
Provide the documents you currently have and upload additional documentation as requested. KLFC may request additional information when it is needed to properly review an account or support a dispute.
Credit Issues KLFC May Review
KLFC can assist with reviewing and developing strategies related to various types of information that may appear on a credit report, including collections, repossession accounts, bankruptcies, evictions, student loans, and other negative or derogatory information that may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or unverifiable.
Collections may be reviewed as part of the credit-report review process. Where appropriate, KLFC may develop a dispute strategy based on the information available and the circumstances of the account.
Repossession accounts may be reviewed as part of the credit-report review process. KLFC may address information that appears inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable when appropriate.
Bankruptcy-related information may be reviewed as part of the credit-report review process. KLFC cannot guarantee that accurate bankruptcy information will be removed.
Eviction-related information may be reviewed when it appears on a credit report or related reporting. KLFC may develop a strategy when there is information appropriate for review or dispute.
Student-loan information may be reviewed as part of the credit-report review process. KLFC may address information that appears inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable when appropriate.
The Credit Restoration Process
Clients generally begin by consulting with KLFC if they have questions, completing enrollment, establishing required credit monitoring, receiving secure client portal access, and uploading required documents. KLFC then reviews the available credit reports, develops an appropriate strategy, prepares and submits appropriate disputes or communications when applicable, reviews returned results, and determines the next appropriate step.
The KLFC program is structured around a six-month enrollment period. The timing of individual investigations and results can vary based on the credit reporting agencies, furnishers, documentation, and the circumstances of the accounts being reviewed.
KLFC determines the appropriate strategy for each file and prepares or submits appropriate disputes or communications when applicable, based on the results received and the appropriate next step. KLFC does not promise a specific dispute frequency or a particular result.
The applicable credit reporting agency or furnisher investigates the disputed information and provides results. KLFC reviews the results and determines the appropriate next step based on the updated information.
Clients should generally allow approximately 30–45 days for the first round of dispute results to be returned. Actual investigation and response times may vary.
In some circumstances, information may be reinserted or reported again. A deletion does not always mean that the information can never be reported again. KLFC will review reinserted information and determine whether additional action may be appropriate.
Credit Monitoring
Active credit monitoring helps KLFC and the client track changes to the credit profile, review updated information, and evaluate the results of dispute activity throughout the program.
Clients may choose one of the two KLFC-approved credit monitoring options provided by KLFC. The selected monitoring subscription must remain active throughout participation in the program.
No. Credit monitoring is a separate third-party subscription. The client is responsible for the monitoring subscription and any charges imposed by the selected monitoring provider.
Services cannot continue effectively without active access to the required credit monitoring. If monitoring is canceled, expires, or becomes inaccessible, the client's file may be placed on hold until access is restored. Extended inactivity may require the client to restart services under the applicable terms.
Client Responsibilities & Communication
Clients are expected to maintain active credit monitoring, pay KLFC fees on time, provide accurate information, submit requested documents promptly, review communications, avoid unnecessary credit applications, make current payments on time, keep contact information current, and remain engaged throughout the program. Credit restoration is a partnership, and client participation is essential.
Clients should avoid unnecessary new credit applications during the program because new inquiries, accounts, balances, and other changes may affect the credit profile and overall strategy. If you anticipate applying for a mortgage, vehicle loan, apartment, or other major credit, discuss the situation with KLFC when possible.
Upload or send the complete letter to KLFC as soon as possible. Do not send only the first page. Some correspondence may include deadlines or requests for additional information, so promptly providing the complete document helps KLFC determine the appropriate next step.
Clients can contact KLFC by text or email with questions during their enrollment. KLFC aims to respond within 24–48 hours.
Credit restoration is a partnership. Staying engaged, providing accurate information, maintaining required monitoring, submitting documents promptly, reviewing communications, making current payments on time, and following program expectations all help support an organized process.
Results & Expectations
No. KLFC does not guarantee that any particular account or item will be deleted. Outcomes depend on the accuracy of the information, documentation available, applicable reporting requirements, and the results of each investigation.
No. KLFC cannot guarantee a specific credit-score increase or a particular credit outcome. Credit scores can change based on many factors, including payment history, balances, new accounts, inquiries, and other information reported to the credit bureaus.
Not necessarily. Paying a collection may update the balance to zero, but the collection may remain on the credit report for the applicable reporting period. Clients should understand how an account is expected to be updated before making payment decisions.
Accurate, current, and verifiable information generally cannot be removed simply because it is negative. KLFC focuses on information that may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable and on the appropriate process for addressing that information.
Important Boundaries
KLFC primarily assists with credit-report analysis, education, document preparation, and dispute strategies. Some situations may require the client to communicate directly with a creditor, collection agency, credit bureau, attorney, or court.
No. Credit restoration and debt settlement are different services. KLFC does not promise debt forgiveness or settlement agreements.
No. KLFC cannot guarantee approval for credit, housing, financing, insurance, employment, or any other decision made by a third party.
